Five of the country’s most celebrated light festivals converge in Iloilo City for one radiant night of culture, color, and movement.

Iloilo City is set to glow brighter than ever as Dinagyang Ilomination 2026 brings together five outstanding light festivals from across the Philippines in one grand cultural presentation on January 23, 2026 (Friday).

This year’s Ilomination highlights the shared traditions of light, movement, and community, transforming the city into a vibrant stage of illuminated performances. The parade begins at 5:00 PM, moving from Atria, passing through SM City Iloilo, and culminating at the Iloilo Business Park, where thousands are expected to gather for the spectacle.

A National Gathering of Light Festivals
Leading the showcase is Pandang Gitab Festival of Oriental Mindoro, known for its glowing street dancers and lantern-inspired costumes that celebrate resilience and heritage through light and rhythm.

Representing Iloilo Province is the Bana-ag Festival of Anilao, a festival rooted in the symbolism of light as guidance, hope, and protection. Its illuminated choreography reflects community unity and historical memory.

From Northern Luzon, the Pavvurulun Afi Festival of Tuguegarao City brings the theme of fire and strength to the parade, drawing from indigenous traditions that honor courage, endurance, and collective identity.

Completing the national lineup is the Zamboanga Hermosa Festival, which carries the rich visual language of Mindanao through colorful attire, intricate patterns, and dynamic street dance rooted in devotion and celebration.

Anchoring the event is Dinagyang Ilomination of Iloilo City, the host presentation that blends Dinagyang’s signature energy with modern illuminated artistry, reinforcing Iloilo’s growing reputation as a center for creative festivals.

Special Chinese New Year Performance
Adding a distinct cultural layer to the evening is a special Lion and Dragon Dance presentation by the Iloilo Cultural Federation, Inc. The performance marks the welcoming of the Chinese New Year, highlighting the city’s long-standing Chinese-Filipino heritage and the role of cultural exchange in Iloilo’s identity.

A Celebration of Unity Through Light
Dinagyang Ilomination 2026 is more than a parade—it is a national cultural convergence. By bringing together festivals from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, the event emphasizes unity, diversity, and artistic collaboration through the shared language of light.

As illuminated costumes move through Iloilo’s main festival route, the city becomes a living canvas of tradition and innovation, offering residents and visitors an unforgettable night of color, rhythm, and celebration.
