ILOILO CITY — The vibrant energy of the Dinagyang Festival reached its peak as the official results of the 2026 Dinagyang Tribes Competition were announced, crowning Tribu Salognon as this year’s overall champion.
Tribu Salognon impressed judges and spectators alike with a powerful performance marked by strong storytelling, precise choreography, and polished production design. Their commanding presentation earned them not only the championship title but also several major special awards.
Placing as First Runner-up was Tribu Paghidaet, whose high-energy routine and disciplined execution once again proved why they remain one of the festival’s most formidable contenders. Tribu Pan-ay secured the Second Runner-up position, while Tribu Taga Baryo completed the top four as Third Runner-up.
Beyond the main rankings, special awards highlighted the distinct strengths of each tribe. Tribu Salognon dominated the creative categories, winning Best in Choreography, Best in Music, and Best in Production Design. Meanwhile, Tribu Paghidaet excelled in performance-based distinctions, earning Best in Performance, Best in Costume Design, Best in Discipline, and Best in Streetdance.
