Yes! Barangay tribes will be participating again in Dinagyang Festival. Among the participants are: Tribu Familia Sagasa, Tribu Parianon, Tribu Aninipay, Tribu Angola, Tribu Familia Sagrada, Tribu Molave, Tribu Kanyao, and Tribu Hamili.
Dinagyang Festival was never been successful at what it was today without the barangay based tribe that was made our childhood Dinagyang fun and exciting. The comeback of the barangay tribes as non-competing tribes made this year 2020 Dinagyang Festival more meaningful as it returns the true spirit of the festival.
Dinagyang Festival is about devotion- our faith to Señor Sto. Niño, it is an undying passion of the Ilonggos to our culture, a pride that must be proud of, and a remarkable celebration. It is a collective effort of the community to celebrate and show gratitude for the coming of the Senior Sto. Niño as He strengthen the faith of the Ilonggos. After all, Dinagyang is not all about competition, nor even a world class performance, but rather a heartfelt devotion wherein everyone is involved. Malipayon nga Dinagyang 2020.
