Celebrating 35 years of empowering livestock raisers, New Panay Agri-Ventures Development, Inc. (NPAVDI) implemented one of its CSR programs in May 17, 2025 at Barangay Lico, Alimodian, Iloilo, a remote area long challenged by limited access to healthcare, education, and economic opportunities. Themed “35 Legendary Years: Nurturing Communities with Love, Care, and Commitment,” the initiative united environmental action, healthcare, education, and livelihood support to foster long-term growth.

Rooted in Sustainability: Environmental Stewardship Takes Center Stage
To combat soil erosion and landslides, NPAVDI led the planting of 150 native and fruit-bearing trees across landslide zones of Barangay Lico. The effort not only safeguards the ecosystem but also promotes food security for residents. Four durable trash bins and cleaning kits were donated to encourage proper waste disposal, empowering locals to maintain a cleaner environment.

Health, Education, and Livelihood: A Holistic Approach
Over 35 residents received free medical check-ups, vitamins, and medicines, addressing urgent health needs. Children were prioritized through interactive educational games and storytelling sessions, with 40 kids receiving school supplies and toys to support learning.

For families seeking income opportunities, a hog-raising seminar equipped 45 locals with modern farming techniques, complemented by free swine and poultry feed samples.

A sewing machine, materials, and 1,000 used Lovefeeds sako-bags were turned over to the Lico Farmer Association (LFA), formalized by a Memorandum of Agreement. The partnership enables housewives to earn income by upcycling feed sacks into eco-bags, with profits reinvested into future community projects.

Philippine Army Joins Forces for Community Impact
The 61st Infantry (Hunter) Battalion of the Philippine Army amplified the outreach, with 2Lt. Shy Marie Fajilagutan representing the unit. Collaborative efforts included free haircuts for over 10 residents and the distribution of Lovefeeds branded t-shirts. Barangay Captain Rami Cagod praised the initiative, stating, “This partnership shows how unity can uplift even the most isolated communities.”

Decades of Service, Futures Secured
NPAVDI’s milestone anniversary celebration also provided groceries, clothing, and footwear to 70 households. Lt. Col. Arturo Balgos Jr. of the 61st Infantry Battalion emphasized the Army’s role beyond security: “Programs like this prove nation-building thrives when sectors unite. It’s about ensuring no Filipino feels forgotten.”
