Cebu Pacific Doubles Iloilo–Cebu Flights This December

Cebu Pacific

Cebu Pacific will double its scheduled services between Iloilo International Airport (ILO) and Mactan–Cebu International Airport (CEB) this December, raising frequency from 14 flights in September to 25 flights to meet heavy year-end travel demand. The move increases seat capacity and offers passengers greater flexibility for holiday travel, weekend trips and business connections between the two cities.

The airline is also adjusting frequencies on several other routes serving Iloilo. These changes reflect a broader effort to bolster connectivity for passengers travelling to and from Iloilo during the peak season and to relieve pressure on popular travel dates.

Puerto Princesa: 4 → 7

The jump from 14 to 25 weekly flights on the Iloilo–Cebu sector directly addresses the spike in passenger bookings typical of December. More flights mean passengers have more options for departure times, which can reduce the likelihood of sold-out services on peak days and lessen crowding at check-in and boarding.

For businesses and families, the added frequencies improve the practicality of short trips and day returns between Iloilo and Cebu. For airlines and airport operators, increased rotations help spread demand across more flights and can improve on-time performance during congested travel periods.

Passenger implications and practical advice

Availability: Expect more seat inventory but book early; higher frequency does not guarantee low fares close to key dates.

Flexibility: With more morning, midday and evening flights, travellers can choose schedules that best suit meetings, family plans, or connecting itineraries.

Connections: Passengers using Cebu as a hub will find more onward options the same day, easing transfers to other domestic islands.

Airport experience: Staggered departures should reduce peak-time congestion, improving check-in and security throughput.

Compare nearby dates: shifting travel by one day can yield better fares.

Use the airline’s official site or app to monitor seat sales and schedule updates.

Confirm baggage allowances and carry-on rules at booking; holiday travel can see stricter enforcement.
