Where to go in the Province of Antique

Welcome to the Province where mountains meet the sea. The province that was falling asleep for a long period of time – This is Antique.

Geographically situated at the western border of Panay Island, known for its seahorse like land formation, Antique offers wondrous untouched paradise that await to be discovered. This 155 kilometers long Province hides a gem that will surely give you a lot of reasons why you should explore its hidden treasures.

I visited this place for many times in just a year and still fascinated with its beautiful mountain ranges, from black to white sand beaches, and its one in a kind water falls. Its cultures and its people were also added to the excitement of my visits.

Where to go in Antique?
I made a top ten beautiful spot list of the places to visit in the Province of Antique. This will give you the reasons why you should try to explore this Province.

1. Explore the Bugtong Bato Falls and experience the excitement of Tibiao’s finest kawa hot bath.
Enjoy the cold and crystal clear freezing water of Bugtong Bato Falls. The three accessible waterfalls are the perfect place to enjoy the gift of nature. It is located at the remote Baranggay of Tuno. Please see itinerary here.

After enjoying the majestic falls of bugtong bato, it is the best idea to try the kawa hot bath of Tibiao. The water was heated through the conventional way of preparing hot water.

2. Rejuvenate your senses at Siraan Hot Spring.
Not too hot, not too cold, just a perfect warm to rejuvenate your senses. Take a dip into the bathtub of warm and refreshing sulfuric water of Siraan Hot Spring. It was beautifully situated on the shoreline of Anini-y. This government managed resort also offers affordable accommodations.

3. Never get lost on the Island of Nogas.

This island hides a paradise that is perfect for swimming, snorkeling and diving. It has a white fine sand beach that is also rich in corals. You will surely enjoy its stunning blue water.

4. Make your summer cool at Aningalan
Recently, the untouched paradise of Aningalan was discovered. The highlight is the Igbaclag Cave, its cool temperature, and its strawberry farm. Maybe this is the coolest part of Antique.

5. Hold your breath to the knife edge ridge of Mt. Igcoron.

This hiking destination in Valderrama Antique is a perfect camping destination. Rising approximately 870+ meters above sea level, this summit will able you to see the sparklingnlight at night from the municipalities of San Jose, Sibalom, San Remegio, Belison, Patnongon, Bugasong, and Valderrama.

9. Batanes is within your back door- the Mararison Island.

I don’t want to compare this piece of paradise of Antique to the famous Batanes Island of the North but it gives reasons why you don’t have to go in Batanes. Mararison has a perfect hill that looks like what you can see in Batanes and it has white fine sand bar that is best for swimming. Marine life was also conserved in the island where you can enjoy diving and snorkeling.

Such a wonderful place to enjoy God’s creations. Please click here for itinerary.
